My Body Confidence Journey: Day 20 - Goal setting for body confidence!
STRATEGY 1: CAPP Goals. And it works as follows:
- Clear – Is it clear what your goal is?
For example, “I am going to meditate for a minimum of half an hour a day for 4 weeks”.
- Achievable – Is this goal within your reach?
“I can easily set aside 15 minutes in the morning, and the same on an evening every day.”
- Period (of time) – How long will you do your goal for?
“I am going to do it for 30 minutes a day and for 4 weeks”.
- Plan – How are you going to do it? What potential obstacles would get in the way?
“I plan to set an alarm on my phone to remind me at 9am and at 9pm, and if I have other plans at each of the times, I will use the alarm as a reminder to find a different time that day, either at lunchtime, before dinner or whatever time I get home from work”.
Does that all make sense?
So, going back to yesterday’s challenge, what goal could you set yourself? Have a think about what you really want to change. Maybe you could incorporate meditation into your day too…?
