My Body Confidence Journey: Day 22 - How to get motivated to make healthier food choices!
The things that have gone well are…
- Setting clearer goals! Each time I have set a goal, or written out my plan, it has made things clearer in my head. This is my top recommendation for this week (check out Day 20’s video for a great method and more information).
- I feel that because I have really listened to what I’ve been saying to myself, and continued to swap those negative thoughts for helpful ones, I have remained motivated to keep doing EFT (‘how to’ link below), helpful thoughts, anchoring (watch tomorrow’s video!), exercise, meditation and mindfulness every day! I use the HappiMe App for mindfulness and helpful thoughts, and Insight Timer for guided meditations (see links below!)
- Communicating. I have opened conversation with 4 more of my friends this week (about binging, emotional eating and the things that have been getting me down), and this has worked wonders for improving my relationships.
Finally, the things I am going to change or add this week are…
- Start making healthier food choices, because I now feel compelled to take better care of myself and my health. I have learned a new recipe (thank you Mum), and I have already tried it twice. I am going to take more nutritious food to school for lunch (soup, quinoa and salads) – I have already created a CAPP goal for this – and I am going to be more aware of the salt, fat and carbohydrate content of the food I eat for dinner.
