My Body Confidence Journey: Day 32 - Self-care and a great recommendation!
Or if you’re like me, screaming along to Black Eyed Peas ‘I Got a Feeling’ on the way home from work. It’s important do balance your life doing things you love.
If you’ve watched this video, you’ll know that I have found the motivation to start reading again, something I haven’t done in over a year – even though I’m the busiest I’ve ever been! If I can find some time to chill in the garden, then I hope you can too. I’m currently reading 3 books (as of yesterday… What am I like?) but I am really enjoying Katie Piper’s ‘Confidence: The Secret’. Katie is an amazing lady, who has been through hell and really struggled with her body image as a result. But what she has done as a result of such a major trauma is incredible.
In her book, she also talks about finding balance in your life to do things you love, because the more balanced your life if, the happier you will feel! She goes on to say:
“So, now the crunch – what do we actually ned to do to become happier? The answer is simple, really: we need more of what does us good in life.
There are three steps:
One: Identify what makes you happy.
Two: Get your life into balance, with plenty of the things that make you happy.
Three: Develop new habits.”
