My Body Confidence Journey: Introduction
I have set myself a challenge of 3 months (or 93 days) to aim for ultimate body confidence. I wanted to share this because I wish there was something out there already that I personally could relate to. I wanted you to see the changes in my self-confidence, sense of self, and how I feel on the inside, as it might encourage you to work on whatever you want to change too.
I just want to say, that all of the videos and blog content that I will be posting going forward, are based upon my opinions and research. Please don’t take what I say as gospel, this is just what I think and feel based on my experiences as a coach and holistic therapist, who, like most of us, have been through so very dark times, but managed to pick myself and grow from them. Please follow my advice in this video and research confidence for yourself - so that if you do decide to use some of the techniques I mention going forward, you know exactly what and how to improve.
Now, different people define confidence differently, and I am no exception. But after reading and researching confidence for years, this article really resonated with me, which I have linked in below. It talks about ‘The 3 Realms of Confidence’, and each of them results from belief. Belief in your competence, belief in your ability to learn and problem solve, and belief in your own self-worth. Generally, I think confidence is fluid, it’s not a matter of having it or not having it – of course, you are going to be more confident in some things than you might be in others – and that’s normal. Let’s take a guess at what I will be focusing on most on this journey though... Yes. My SELF-WORTH!
Now the last 3-4 years have been a massive learning curve for me. I have learned so much about myself and my field, and implemented pretty much everything I have learned into my life. The plan now is to use all of these tools and strategies to target my body-confidence and how I feel about my body shape, size and appearance.
If you are joining me on this journey, thank you. And remember to use the tools you decide to implement regularly and consistently if you’re looking to make lasting change.
Day 1 comes out tomorrow, so until then… Have a great day!
Thank you for watching.
Be proud. Be you.
