My Journey to Body Confidence: Day 2

Hey! 2 days down. I know it must sound a little bit silly, but holding myself accountable to filming these videos does make me feel different, even after just 2 days.
I practiced EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) last night, to help me let go of some of my negative emotions relating how I have been feeling about my body – there is a link to EFT (or HappiTapping as we like to call it) below.

LESSON 1: Don’t do too much all at once. Pick one thing you’d like to change and maybe 1 strategy you’d like to use and practice that first. I know it might seem tedious – but you’ll thank yourself in the long run. I listened to ‘Calm Me’ again when I woke up, and have also looked on Insight Timer this morning for some more meditations and mindful practices I’d like to use over the next few weeks (again, the link is below!). I am currently in good spirits. Practicing EFT and listening to ‘Calm Me’ before I went to bed really helped me get off to sleep and this is the first time in a while that I have slept through the night. I am not going to analyse why, I am just going to be grateful that I am not tired!
LESSON 2: Rest! Try and listen to a mindfulness audio or a meditation before going to sleep. Perhaps have a chamomile tea and try not to eat too late. Feeling rested and relaxed really can help improve your mood – for me, feeling rested is normally the difference between wanted to hide away all day, and deciding to face the day instead. I have lots to do today, so I will not be hiding in my bedroom. And to be honest, I don’t really want to do that today anyway… Yay! I am wearing a shirt and jeans again, but much brighter coloured than the black skinnies I wore yesterday. It looks like it’s going to rain, so luckily for me, it’s not quite t-shirt weather.
