How do I practice gratitude?“Start each day with a positive thought and a grateful heart.” – Roy T. Bennett
Over the past few days, we have shared why gratitude is so fantastic… Now we are going to share our top tips for incorporating gratitude into your life! 1. Start small… At the beginning and end of each day, find 3 things you are grateful for. This could be family, friends, your home, a recent life event, or even a learning experience… Today, I was grateful for my coffee machine as it definitely helped me get out of bed! 2. Journaling… Once you have practiced gratitude for a week, start keeping a journal – it can be an app or a physical diary, whatever you prefer. Try to find as many things as you can every morning and evening that you feel thankful for… By now, you will notice that you think more positively throughout the day, too! 3. Meditate... When you feel comfortable with your practice, perhaps after a few weeks, why not try meditating? Simply sit or lay down, and when you’re ready, take around 5 long, deep breaths. When you reach your “calm point”, allow your mind to float through the memory of your day, smiling each time you find something you’re grateful for. Try these steps for one month and see if you feel any different! How else can HappiMe help you or your child?
